Bardonia is a small unincorporated hamlet in the Town of Clarkstown with almost no commercial presence — it's a residential island between Nanuet's retail corridor and New City's larger residential footprint. Housing is mostly 1960s-to-1990s single-family construction. Our Bardonia work is almost entirely residential: closings, rekeys, lockouts, and occasional car key work.
Safety Note

What we know about Bardonia

Bardonia is the kind of hamlet you can drive through in two minutes without realizing you've passed it. The streets are residential, the houses are typical Clarkstown mid-century through turn-of-the-century construction — colonials, ranches, split-levels on moderate lots. There's no downtown, no commercial strip, just homes and a few small side streets branching off the main roads. That makes the work predictable: rekeys, lockouts, and the occasional car key replacement.

Closings are the steady driver here. Bardonia homes change hands at the normal Clarkstown rate, which means a handful of rekey calls every month from people who just got their deed and want to make sure the previous owner's realtor doesn't still have a working key. Lockouts skew toward the afternoon-and-evening windows when someone's getting home from work or running kids between activities. Smart locks are about as common here as in the rest of Clarkstown — they show up, we handle them.

Residential
Rekey after a Bardonia closing
Usually 30–45 min on-site

Bardonia closings are straightforward — typical three-door setup (front, back, garage interior), Schlage or Kwikset hardware, standard pins and caps. We rekey everything in one visit. If we find an older cylinder on its last legs we'll tell you the price to replace versus rekey and let you decide. Most Bardonia closings run under $200 all-in, occasionally more if we're recommending a cylinder swap for a security reason.

Residential
House lockout — any time
Usually 20–30 min to arrive

Most Bardonia lockouts are self-inflicted at the end of a long day — came home with groceries, set the keys down to unload, door closed and latched, keys stayed inside. We open non-destructively regardless of lock age. If you want us to rekey while we're there because you can't figure out where your spare key went, we can do that in the same visit without a second trip fee.

How we get to you

Routes clear · standard ETA

Our shop is on Old Nyack Turnpike in Spring Valley. To Bardonia we head up Route 304 north, cutting off toward Bardonia Road once we're past Nanuet — 10-to-15 minutes depending on the specific address. For the Middletown Road side, we sometimes come in from Route 59 via the Nanuet commercial side streets. Rush hour slows 304 noticeably — in those windows we take the residential alternates.

Questions we hear from Bardonia

The ones that come up most often. Real answers, not marketing ones.

Are you located in Bardonia?
No. Our shop is at 274 Old Nyack Turnpike in Spring Valley, about 12 minutes from Bardonia. We dispatch throughout the day and cover the full hamlet.
How fast can you get to Bardonia?
Usually 20-to-30 minutes from when you call. Rush hour adds 5-10 minutes because of Route 304 traffic. When you call, we give you the real ETA based on who's where and what's moving.
Do you handle smart lock problems in Bardonia?
Yes. Battery replacement, Wi-Fi setup issues, full replacement when the unit dies past its service life. If you're choosing between models, we can walk through the tradeoffs — some smart locks age better than others and some installations benefit from keeping a mechanical backup cylinder.
Can I get a quote over the phone?
Yes. For straightforward rekey or lockout jobs we'll give you a firm price before we dispatch. For anything involving hardware replacement or master key systems we quote after a walkthrough — happy to come look and give you a number without obligation.
I'm not sure if I need a locksmith. Can I just call to ask?
Yes. A lot of Bardonia calls turn out to be a door that needs adjustment, a dead smart-lock battery, or a strike plate out of alignment. Call and we'll tell you honestly before dispatching a van.
