Chestnut Ridge is a village straddling the line between the southern Orthodox community footprint and the more suburban residential character of southwestern Ramapo. Our shop is on Old Nyack Turnpike in Spring Valley, about 12-to-17 minutes by car. The work here is a genuine mix — Simplex and rekey work on the Monsey-facing side, standard residential closings and smart locks on the mainstream side.

Call (845) 490-8899Chestnut Ridge has two faces. The northern and western portions near the Monsey and Airmont borders feel like an extension of the Orthodox community — denser housing, Simplex and Lockey installs, mechanical keyless work, the same apartment-turnover rhythm as Monsey proper. The southern and eastern portions of the village have a more suburban character — single-family homes on larger lots, newer development, smart locks, and closing rekeys that look like the work we do in New Hempstead or Pomona.
That split shapes how we approach Chestnut Ridge dispatches. For Red Schoolhouse Road and the northern blocks, we plan for Orthodox-aware service including Motzei Shabbos availability and Shabbos-sensitive scheduling. For the southern pocket, we run standard dispatch with the same tools we use anywhere else in the county. Same shop, same van, different installs depending on your street.
Red Schoolhouse Road through the village, Route 45, Spook Rock Road, the residential streets climbing up toward the Chestnut Ridge elevation, the approaches from Airmont and Wesley Hills.
Rekey after closing on the suburban side, Simplex install on the community side, apartment rekey, house lockout in a driveway, lost car key, smart lock troubleshooting on newer homes.

Our shop is on Old Nyack Turnpike in Spring Valley. To Chestnut Ridge we usually go west on Route 59, then south on Route 45 or Red Schoolhouse Road — 12 to 17 minutes on a normal day. For the northern Chestnut Ridge blocks closer to the Airmont border we take a more direct route through Airmont itself. Rush hour and erev Shabbos slow the 59 corridor; in those windows we route through residential streets where possible.
We don't work during Shabbos or Yom Tov. If you're locked out during that time, the halachic default is to wait — but if there's any safety concern (a child locked inside, an elderly parent not answering, a medical situation), that's pikuach nefesh and you call 911. Fire department entry is free and takes 10–15 minutes.
For non-emergencies — a stuck lock, a lost key — call us as soon as Shabbos or Yom Tov ends. Motzei Shabbos through Sunday we usually run extended hours. Before Shabbos — if you call Friday by 1pm we can almost always make it, even in winter.
Pesach, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkos first days, Shemini Atzeres, Pesach last days, Shavuos: we're off. Chol HaMoed: we work. Most of our Orthodox community customers know this; if you're unsure, just call and ask.
The ones that come up most often. Real answers, not marketing ones.
