Locked out of an apartment on Central Avenue, a car door on Main Street that won't open, a Simplex lock at a house off Maple Avenue that stopped working — this is our home turf. The shop is at 274 Old Nyack Turnpike and for most Spring Valley calls we're at your door in under ten minutes. We know which streets move and which don't, and we know the back ways around Main Street better than the GPS does.
We use your location once to calculate your personal arrival window. It isn't stored.

Call (845) 490-8899Spring Valley is our home town. The shop at 274 Old Nyack Turnpike has been dispatching from the same block for years — we know the streets, the buildings, the storefronts, and the pattern of who calls us and why. Spring Valley's not one community, it's several: the Orthodox families up toward Kaser and the streets off Maple, the long-time homeowners along Central and Memorial, the Latino and Haitian families who've made this town what it is for two generations, the downtown commercial corridor along Main Street and Route 45.
The work here reflects that mix. Apartment turnover rekeys are weekly — Spring Valley has more multi-unit housing per square mile than anywhere else in Rockland, and every tenant change means a rekey call. Commercial work along Main Street is steady — small storefronts, professional offices above shops, the restaurant row, all of it aging brick with hardware that gets replaced every 10-15 years. And mechanical keyless locks — Kaba Simplex, Lockey USA — we stock and install these for the Orthodox community just like we do in Monsey, often for the same families who have homes in both towns.
The vehicle mix is the most diverse in the county. Family sedans — older Camrys, Accords, Sonatas — are dominant. Work vans and commercial fleet vehicles based out of the industrial pockets south of Route 59. Minivans in the residential driveways. And the usual school buses and Prius cabs you see across the whole Ramapo area. We've worked on all of it, and we've learned each make's quirks the hard way.
Old Nyack Turnpike (our own street), Main Street, Route 59, Route 45, Central Avenue, Memorial Drive, Maple Avenue, College Road, Prospect Street, Slinn Avenue, Hempstead Road, Decatur Avenue, the streets around the Metro-North station, the blocks between Main and Route 59.
Apartment rekey after tenant turnover, Simplex install on an Orthodox family home, Main Street storefront lock service, lost car key at the Memorial Park area, broken key in a back-door cylinder at a commercial building, emergency lockout at one of the apartment complexes.
The apartment buildings along Central and Maple, the mixed-use buildings on Main Street (commercial downstairs, apartments up), the split-level homes off Memorial, the row houses around College Road, the industrial-turned-office spaces south of Route 59. Different eras, different hardware, different access patterns.
Most locksmiths driving into Spring Valley are coming from somewhere else. We're not. When you call, we're already here. That changes how fast we can dispatch, how well we know where you're describing when you say an intersection or a building, and how we handle a regular customer who calls us twice a year for routine work. It's a small town and we like it that way.
The most common front-door job we do in Spring Valley Orthodox homes. We carry the 7100 in stock at our shop, install the true all-black finish (buttons and thumbturn both black — not the factory silver-button version), and handle code changes free when you buy through us.
Rekeying is the right move the day you get the keys. Previous owners, cleaners, contractors, real-estate agents, house sitters, neighbors with a spare — you don't know who has a copy of the key that was just handed to you. Rekeying is faster and cheaper than replacing all the locks.

Our shop is on Old Nyack Turnpike — this is our home town. For most of you, we're 2-to-8 minutes from your door. But here's the local knowledge: GPS will send you down Main Street, and Main is the slowest way through Spring Valley. For calls heading toward Hillcrest, we go up Prospect and Slinn — bypasses Main Street entirely. For Central and the apartment corridor, we stay on Old Nyack. For Route 59 and eastern addresses, we cut through College or take Route 45 past the commercial stretch. We pick the route at dispatch based on where you are.
We don't work during Shabbos or Yom Tov. If you're locked out during that time, the halachic default is to wait — but if there's any safety concern (a child locked inside, an elderly parent not answering, a medical situation), that's pikuach nefesh and you call 911. Fire department entry is free and takes 10–15 minutes.
For non-emergencies — a stuck lock, a lost key — call us as soon as Shabbos or Yom Tov ends. Motzei Shabbos through Sunday we usually run extended hours. Before Shabbos — if you call Friday by 1pm we can almost always make it, even in winter.
Pesach, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkos first days, Shemini Atzeres, Pesach last days, Shavuos: we're off. Chol HaMoed: we work. Most of our Orthodox community customers know this; if you're unsure, just call and ask.
The ones that come up most often. Real answers, not marketing ones.
